Honda FCTourer. Master final project
Proyecto final de Máster: Honda FCTourer. Un familiar deportivo inspirado en el mundo de los robots de Honda.
The final Master's project was the Honda FCTourer, a sportsbreak car inspired by robots world of Honda.
El Honda FCTourer fue el proyecto final del "Máster de Styling y Diseño de Automóvil" que terminé este año. Es una berlina familar deportiva para 4 personas. Se basa en 3 puntos: la tecnología de motor de hidrógeno de Honda, soluciones para reducir el impacto medioambiental del coche y la filosofía de uno de sus proyectos más relevantes: el robot Asimo.
Su aspecto exterior es claramente robótico, con superficies suaves y continuas y bordes marcados. Las ruedas imitan 4 patas sobre las que la base del coche se asienta y, sobre ella, se levanta el habitáculo. El frontal y la trasera comparten un elemento que recuerda a Asimo: una máscara. El FCTourer posee 3 zonas con placas solares; las del techo suponen una ruptura estética en la línea lateral del coche.
El interior refleja el aspecto más humano y amigable del robot de Honda con superficies suaves y acogedoras, a la vez que limpias y tecnológicas. Los asientos parecen sacados del salón de una casa moderna.
The Honda FCTourer was the final project of the 'Master of Styling and Automotive Design' I finished this year. It's a sportbreak for 4 people. It's based on 3 points: the Honda hydrogen engine technology, several solutions to reduce the enviromental impact of the car and the idea of one of the most important projects of Honda: the Asimo robot.
The exterior design is clearly robotic with soft and large surfaces with sharp edges. The wheels imitate 4 legs from where the main body rests and above it is built the interior of the car. The front and the rear of the car share an element that reminds Asimo; a mask. The FCTourer has 3 areas with solar panels; the ones in the ceiling mean a break in the side view of the car.
The interior design reflects the human and friendly side of the Honda robot. It has soft and warm surfaces and at the same time, clean and tehcnological. The seats seem removed from the living room of a modern home.
